If you came here after spying a poem or bit of writing of mine, I hope you enjoyed it. You did, yes? You wouldn’t be reading the “about me” page if you did not, I would assume.
I was born in Seattle, Washington and lived there until I was 10. I was always a storyteller and a lover of fiction, but I feel as if it truly bloomed when I was 14 and took up roleplaying. I was (and at the time of writing this, am) living in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. A small town, and honestly, a bit of a wasteland of interest. (OK Mozart, our music festival, is on its last legs) I escaped this drab reality in fantastical stories I wove with folks online, taking inspiration from Madeleine L’Engle and H.P. Lovecraft in the things I imagined. I won’t say I was anywhere NEAR a good writer at that point, but I was consistent and put out enough that I’d say it helped kickstart my writing.
At the end of high school I began writing a story blog based around the creepypasta creature Slender Man. The writing here was inconsistent in quality, but I believe the story itself was compelling. It was called Anonymous Here, if you wish to delve for it.
Now I write primarily poetry and flash fiction with collections I am working on forming two different novels. One is The Fabler Chronicles, which is a high fantasy collection of poems and flash fiction which help to shape an image of a world beset by horrific things from within and without. The other is a novel called The Long Way Down, which begins as a novel and slides into a collection of short stories and (fictionally) plagiarized works centering around a town in rural England.
If you wish to see any of the stories comprising these feel free to contact me here or on my twitter account (@driedinkribbon) or at my email (rezresonates@hotmail.com)
I am ALSO available for collab or small commission work.
I hope you stay and lose yourself in my unsettling little world, and please, enjoy.
